My Trip to Malacca, Genting Highlands, & Kuala Lumpur

For almost a week I did not update my blog because I was traveling to Malaysia again. This time I was visiting some places like Malacca, Red Church, Genting Highlands, & some places at Kuala Lumpur like KLCC, Bukit Bintang, Alor Street with its varieties food delicacies. As usual, my trip was accompanied by my daughter and my beloved wife. Every expenses was from us alone without any sponsorship of anyone. But I wish someone would give us sponsorship someday. ^^

This trip I brought along my trusty Olympus OM-D E-M5 and my best partner, the MZD 12-40mm F2.8. I realized sometimes the lens was not wide enough to take landscape photos. But I was quite satisfied with what this lens did. All photographs in this entry were taken in JPEG straight out from camera.

Trip to Malacca

After reaching KLIA, we moved to Malacca directly by using a bus. So we took a bus which costed RM 105 (3 persons) to Malacca at platform 17.

Mi Tarik Has Opened Again

One of my favorite place to eat noodles is Mi Tarik at Central Park, has opened again after having some renovations for a few months. It has a new look now with a new design for the whole place like the wallpaper, the tables and seats. And the ordering system is different now, where we have to queue in front of the cashier to order our meal and pay directly. (In the past, we just found a table and the waiters would come to us, we ordered the meal, paid the bill, and waited for the meal). Now, after paying for the bill, we go find the table. Luckily if we still get a vacant table.

Bali Girl

Last time when we visited a place, I saw my daughter was playing with flower and I found out that she was so cute with the flower on her ears. So I took some photographs of her. Here's one of that..

Taking Bird Pictures at Close Range

This is the first time for me to take bird pictures at close range in the wild. When I say in the wild, it means that I do not take pictures of bird in the cage or something else. The bird was so small until my daughter asked me to take a photo of the bird. Initially I was afraid the bird will fly when we approached, but when we took lots of photos and we try to get closer and closer gain. The bird still remained silence place until we get more close up picture of the bird. Oh, I almost forget to tell you if I shoot this bird with kit lens, so I need closer range to take the photograph.

For those who knows the name of this bird, please feels free share with us.

The Race of Lamborghini

It's been for a while for me not to upload any images in this blog. My hands are very itchy and I do some experiments to photograph diecasts, and do it with simple post processing. Here is the result.

Shooting Actions with Underrated and Humble Lens

Chinese New Year had passed a few days ago and many of us had wonderful long weekend. This time I shoot some photographs which is not usual as before. I shoot some action movements with the underrated and humble lens, the ZD 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 mounted on my trusty EM5 with mmf2 adapter. The focus is as not as quickly with the MZD lenses and the lighting is not so good at that time. But I can get many photographs as I will show you below.

All photographs were shot in raw and converted directly to jpeg with a little tweak for contrast adjustment and change it to monochrome with pin hole effect for more dramatic looking.
