Soft Opening of the Satay Village

First of all, I would like to congratulate my best friend Indra and Shirley on the soft opening of the Satay Village. It was a privilege to be their partner in making food photographs for the food stand. I am sure the food stand will be visited by many visitors because of the food delicacy.

The New Pen in Olympus History

The new pen in Olympus history is the E-PL7 with abundant features which can spoil us such as the new tilt-able LCD for taking selfie, wi-fi connection, touch shutter & touch focus, etc. Here is the image I take when I was joining the touch and try new Olympus lens event.

This camera is a fun because we love taking pictures without being bothered by its weight and the model looks so cute.

Touch And Try Olympus MZD 40-150mm F2.8 PRO

Today Olympus Users got privilege to touch and try the new lens of micro four third, the MZD 40-150mm F2.8 PRO. We got a brief explanation from the Regional Product Manager Olympus Imaging Singapore, Mr. Lucas Tan regarding the feature of the lens. After that we had photo shooting session with models.

I admit if this lens is superb in everything such as the build quality, the size, the fast AF, the sharpness even at the longest focal length. There is also a tele-converter which is made especially for the lens to maximize the reach if you want get closer to your subject. Ok, no more talking, I will show you some pictures from this lens.

Indonesia Motorcycle Show (IMoS) 2014

Indonesia Motorcycle Show (IMoS) 2014 which was held from 29 Oct - 2 Nov 2014 will end today. What I saw, there were not so many exhibitors joined the expo this time. I couldn't find Ducati which I met in last two years before.

Small Reunion with Old Friends at 6 Degrees Cafe

Yeah.., after a couple of years, I met again with some old friends. We had a lot of fun and chit chat with each others. It took place at 6 Degrees Cafe, inside of the Mall Alam Sutera, Tangerang.

This afternoon as usual, the most frequent animal I met was a cat. This gorgeous female cat was pregnant and will have babies soon. Since this afternoon was so hot, she was hiding beneath the vehicle and it laid down.

My Visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, & Johor Bahru

Capital of Malaysia, popularly known as KL, home of the Petronas Twin Towers. Local currency is Ringgit (MYR). English is widely spoken with Bahasa Malaysia being the official language. Mix of Malay, Indian, and Chinese ethnic groups. Food paradise for cheap and delicious meals, especially hawker fare. Climate is hot and humid with temperatures around 32 deg Celcius on average.

The Beauty of Suzhou & Shanghai City

Although this trip is a business trip, and I was busy all day at the factory. I spend myself to photograph the beauty of the scenery in the city of Suzhou and Shanghai. Shanghai like Jakarta, traffic jam everywhere. This time I did not take a lot of photos because I was there all day in the factory.

Shooting Reptiles at Nite, Tribeca Park

The most challenging thing in taking photos at night is the lack of sufficient light to make the picture brighter. I was told by a friend that there was a reptile exhibit that took place in Tribeca Park in the afternoon, but the sky was not friendly, down with heavy rain so I arrive at the location at night.

People may think and sometimes they feel afraid when taking the picture at night. Usually they use the flash to illuminate your subject to look obvious. However there are some rules in doing a photo shoot on the animals that are not allowed to use flash during photo because it can lead to disruption of vision of these animals.

For me personally, to get a good photo and natural is to let the available light becomes the element in the surrounding to create it's own photo to make it look natural. Do not be afraid to use high ISO to take a photograph.

Well .., enough for the conversation. Now we look at some of the photos I managed to take on the extreme conditions of low light.
